Work
I’ve been writing for a living for about twelve years now. I am a writer of blurb. I specialise in writing for the web, because I understand websites and how people use them. I’m currently Senior Writer for Channel4′s 4Homes website – working as part of Maverick TV’s New Media department in Birmingham. I bloody love it.
Rest
I’ve lived in Moseley, Birmingham for the whole of my life. In fact apart from two ill-conceived years in Glasgow, I’ve never lived more than five miles away from my place of birth. I don’t see this as being a bad thing – Birmingham’s great. And my husband-to-be is from a coastal town, so we get to visit the seaside often enough.
Play
When I’m not writing, or sitting around tickling the cat, I take pictures. I go to Birmingham Flickrmeets most months. My preferred subjects are brick walls, concrete and rust – urban decay, maaan. I’m a member of Birmingham Photospace, a group dedicated to establishing a permanent space for photography in Birmingham.
